Twiggy’s Bubble Boosts Local Business

A local business has received a boost, thanks to 1960s supermodel, Twiggy. The style icon swings in a Bubble Chair on the cover of Good Housekeeping magazine this month – a classic piece of 1960s furniture provided for the photo-shoot by none other than Yorkshire-based company, Iconic Interiors.

‘Sales have grown steadily since GHKs cover feature,’ says Mark Holdsworth, MD at Iconic Interiors, ‘and we’re very happy with the extra interest. But then again, the Bubble Chair has always been a strong seller. It’s still a style classic, not to mention comfortable, chic and lots of fun.’ What does Holdsworth think of Twiggy as the choice of model? ‘We were more than happy for Good Housekeeping to choose Twiggy for the shoot,’ he says. ‘Twiggy sums up the look of the ‘swinging’ sixties. We just hope she doesn’t distract too much from the chair!

Local Business Wins Harrods Contract

Yorkshire-based business, Iconic Interiors has won a lucrative contract with designer homeware store, Harrods, proving local businesses can win London work, even during a dim economic climate. The luxury London store will feature pieces from the Iconic Interiors collection as part of a furniture set on sale this Autumn.

Iconic Interiors has also won deals to provide furniture for the Connaught Mayfair, a five-star luxury hotel, and the Twickenham Rugby Ground, in recent months, and its Bubble Chair currently features with Twiggy on the front cover of Good Housekeeping Magazine.

‘It’s still possible for businesses to do well, even in a gloomy economic climate,’ says Mark Holdsworth, MD at Iconic Interiors. ‘If your products are good and you provide good service, there’s no reason why your business can’t grow.’

Recession Success for Local Business

Think news for local businesses is all doom and gloom? Think again Yorkshire-based business, Iconic Interiors, has seen better sales this June and July than at any time in its five-year history.

‘Sales have been very good this summer, and show no signs of abating,’ says Iconic Interiors’ MD, Mark Holdsworth. ‘We’ve recently won a lucrative contract to supply furniture for Harrods, and have provided furniture for high-end establishments such as the Connaught Mayfair and Twickenham Rugby Ground in recent months. And our furniture is currently featuring with Twiggy on the front cover of Good Housekeeping magazine.’

Why does Holdsworth think Iconic Interiors continues to do well? ‘While others worried about the recession, we just got on with doing what we’ve always done,’ says Holdsworth. ‘Offering good-quality products alongside good service.’
