Warren Platner

The Full Story

To this day, Warren Platner’s tables have continued to sell and have always struck the perfect balance between practicality and supreme style. Whilst working at Knoll during the 1960s, Platner created a collection of tables that have stood the test of time and are the perfect addition to any space.

Like most of Platner’s furniture, his tables were created from steel wire – a technique that he managed to turn into his signature art form. His coffee table features a vertical steel rod frame, welded to circular horizontal framing rods, topped with glass. It is a piece which combines both the practicality of life, without sacrificing style.

A Platner table is a must have piece for those interested in stunning modernist design. Platner was at the forefront of the movement in the 1960s and all of his pieces, ranging from his tables through to his ‘Wire Lounge Chair’ are the perfect edition to any home or office space.
