What isn’t bright about the Arco Light? Standing a clear 2.5 metres tall, this astonishingly clever floor lamp swoops over the tallest of design lovers. It’s bold, beautiful and a design classic. Created by Italian design legends, the Castiglioni brothers, the Arco was created to mimic ceiling light, but to be portable and repositionable so true light can be cast anywhere.
The Castiglioni brothers were known for their brilliant innovation, and the Arco Light is an excellent example of ‘outside the box’ thinking. A piece of art in its own right, the Arco Light is extremely sturdy and infinitely practical. Not only does it offer exceptional lighting, it is also height adjustable and designed with a clever cap that keeps it cool.
Using the ‘industrial’ materials the Castiglioni brothers were famous for, the Arco Light combines a telescopic, stainless-steel stem and cap with a carved base of solid marble. And not just any marble. The Arco Light is made with the finest marble, favoured by Michael Angelo for several of his sculptures.
